Movie Theaters Are Different In Spain

My partner (SB) and I are homebodies, preferring the comfort of our bed and the delightful purr of our cat-son over going out like most couples our age. However, spending too much time is good for anyone. For me, it is a must considering I work part-time from home and take on most of the home chores. Though SB works full time outside of the home, he works so close that it feels like does not leave the house either. To top it off he is going back to school online, so our little apartment is turning into an office space. To combat cabin fever we make sure to leave the house as often as possible, which usually means every outing turns into a date. We did one of our favorite activities this date night: going to the movies. We both have been obsessed with all things films and television since we were children. We saw the trailer for Kong and Godzilla and knew we had to see those fight scenes on the big screen. Spain, like many countries, offers matinee screenings, and given how expensive movie tickets can be it is a great way to save.

Our town has about three movie cinemas for mainstream films, a few for independent films, and a handful of actual theaters. The theaters and independent film viewings are in town and easily accessible. It is the movie theaters that can be hard to get to. The closest one is…
